Korangi District (Urdu: ضلع کورنگی‎) is one of the six administrative districts of Karachi. It is a part of the Karachi Division in Sindh, Pakistan. This district was formerly a part of District East in Karachi and was later given an individual status in November 2013 by dividing it, in order to form District Korangi.[1][2]

Muhajir people form majority in the district followed by the Baloch, Pashtun, Sindhi, Punjabi and other ethnicity[3].

The district suffers water crisis and contamination issue. A Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant was inaugurated in Union Council 35 of District Municipal Corporation (DMC) Korangi on 6 March 2017.[4]
