Pinaki Misra (born 23 October 1959) is an Indian politician, currently with Biju Janata Dal. He is a member of the Indian Parliament, and currently represents Puri (Lok Sabha constituency).[1] In 1996 he contested as the Congress candidate for Puri Lok Sabha seat and won over Braja Kishore Tripathy, the then Puri MP and Union Minister.[2]. In 2019 General Election, Pinaki Misra defeated BJP firebrand spokeperson Dr. Sambit Patra from Puri Constituency.
Education
Misra holds B.A.(Hons) History., LL.B. and was Educated at St. Stephen`s College and Faculty of Law, Delhi University, Delhi. He is married to Smt. Sangita Misra and has one daughter and one son [3].
