Premise

The story begins when a rich woman named "Donya Amparo" (played by Chanda Romero) consults a fortune teller about her business ventures. The fortune teller warns her that her ugly granddaughter would be her downfall. Donya Amparo steals her infant granddaughter away from her parents and gives her to a woman (played by Mylene Dizon). She then adopts a pretty baby girl from another woman (played by Lotlot de Leon) and presents the baby to her son and daughter-in-law (played by Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villaroel respectively) as their own daughter (played by Camille Prats). The pretty child grows up as "Princess" and the ugly child grows up as "Charming".[1]
