Sofyan A. Djalil (born September 23, 1953 in East Aceh Regency, Indonesia) is the current Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning.[1][2][3]

He has held numerous ministerial portfolios during his career. During President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's first term, Sofyan was Minister of Communications and Informatics in the United Indonesia Cabinet from 21 October 2004 to 9 May 2007. During a cabinet reshuffle, he was rotated to the position of Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, a post he held from 9 May 2007 to 20 October 2009. He was omitted from cabinet during Yudhoyono's second term. When President Joko Widodo was elected in 2014, Sofyan was brought back to the cabinet, serving from 26 October 2014 to 12 August 2015 as Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs in the Working Cabinet and was replaced by Darmin Nasution during a cabinet reshuffle. He then served as Minister of National Development Planning from 12 August 2015 to 27 July 2016 and was replaced by Bambang Brodjonegoro in a second cabinet reshuffle.[4] Following Widodo's re-election in October 2019, Sofyan was appointed Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning.
